# About Deputant

> Your agents change. Your setup should not.

Source: https://deputant.com/about.html

Deputant is one vault that every AI agent can use. You set it up one time. Then you choose which agents can use each item. A privacy filter can check each request first.

## Why now

A new AI agent comes out every week. The best agent changes every week too.

Each new agent asks for your passwords, apps, cards, addresses, and memories again. You should do that only one time.

## Our mission: set up one time, use any agent

We want you to try the best agent on the day it comes out. Your vault is already set up. You only choose what the new agent can use.

- **The Deputant Vault.** Your passwords, apps, cards, addresses, and memories stay in one place.
- **A privacy filter.** Turn it on, and it checks each request. Each agent gets only what it needs.
- **A virtual computer on your device.** Your agent uses your internet and your accounts. Websites do not block it as a bot.
- **One email address for your agents.** All your agents share one email address. Your own email address stays private.
- **Human help.** When your agent gets stuck, a human on our team can help, but only when you approve.
- **Free while we are early.** Deputant is free during early access. It is invite-only for now.

## Four rules we build by

1. **You own your data.** Your vault belongs to you. You choose what goes in and what each agent can see.
2. **You approve what agents and humans do.** You choose which agents use each item. A human on our team helps only when you say yes.
3. **A second set of eyes on your data.** The privacy filter checks each request. It removes what that agent does not need.
4. **Any agent works.** We do not pick a winner. Use the best agent this week and a new one next week.
